Insulated plug valves are used in various systems such as petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, pharmaceutical, etc. to transport high viscosity media that will solidify at room temperature. The jacket of the plug valve is welded between the two flanges of the valve, and there are connection ports for the jacket on the side and bottom of the valve. Due to the addition of a jacket, the connecting flange size of this type of valve's asphalt insulation plug valve is one to two specifications larger than that of an ordinary ball valve of the same specification, but the structural length is the same as that of valves of the same specification. There are two types of end face connection methods: flange and clamp. The jacket can freely flow steam or other hot insulation media, ensuring that viscous media can flow smoothly through the valve.
Scope of application of insulation plug valve:
Insulation plug valves are suitable for frequent operation, with quick and lightweight opening and closing, simple structure, small relative volume, light weight, easy maintenance, and are not limited by installation direction. The flow direction of the medium can be arbitrary, with good insulation and cold insulation characteristics, while effectively reducing the heat loss of the medium in the pipeline.
